Freelancer / Part-Time Developer Wanted (Odoo + Alokai Integration Headless B2B Focus)

I am looking for a reliable, flexible and innovative freelancer or part time developer to work directly with me on our Odoo and Alokai headless shop project.

As I will focus more on the core business, strategy and client operations, I need someone who can think independently, solve problems and help me technically develop and optimize the system.

About the Project

We are building a modern, high performance and future proof e commerce system based on Odoo as the central backend and Alokai as the headless frontend.

Our goal is to keep Odoo as the single source of truth and control center where all business processes are managed.
Odoo remains the heart of the system and all standard features such as products, price lists, inventory, customers, invoices, orders and discounts will stay as close as possible to Odoo’s native setup.

Alokai will serve as the frontend layer for end customers, although other similar tools could also be considered.
It will be built with React, Next.js and Node.js using its own middleware that communicates directly with Odoo through the API including REST, RPC or GraphQL.
All data such as products, prices, orders and customer information will be fetched live from Odoo.
No duplicate databases and no synchronization are needed because the shop always displays real time data from Odoo.

Eventually our team members will manage everything directly inside Odoo with the frontend Alokai being used only by end customers and B2B clients for placing orders.

A major focus of this project is on B2B functionality including
B2B price lists, group based pricing and custom discounts
Customer segmentation and role based access
API based communication between Alokai and Odoo for pricing, groups and order handling

Your Responsibilities

Work closely with me on the technical integration between Odoo and Alokai
Build, maintain and optimize the Alokai middleware
Implement and fine tune B2B features based on Odoo’s standard logic
Ensure all frontend functionality is powered entirely through the Odoo API
Solve technical challenges independently and contribute improvement ideas
Bring in your own suggestions for architecture, performance and workflow improvements
(Optional) Extend or customize Odoo modules when needed
Collaborate with our frontend team using React, Next.js or Nuxt

Your Profile

Experience with Odoo Community or Enterprise especially APIs, data models, price lists and module customization
Solid knowledge of headless commerce setups including Alokai, Vue Storefront, Next.js, React or Node.js
Understanding of system architecture and API communication
Experience with B2B commerce including tiered pricing, customer groups and pricing rules
Innovative mindset, solution oriented thinking and initiative
Independent, structured and reliable working style
Good communication in English (German is a plus)

Work Setup

Payment will be on a monthly basis.
Part time or project based collaboration
