ERPNext Multi-Company Access Setup
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I need my fresh ERPNext instance structured so it can safely host several independent companies under one site. The goal is a clean, repeatable permission tree with three clear levels:
• Level 1 – System Owner (Super Admin). This account stays reserved for me and one other trusted user and is used only to create companies, assign company-level admins, install apps and tweak global settings.
• Level 2 – Company Admin. Each new company you create must receive its own admin account that can handle that company’s Accounting, Sales and Purchase modules only. These admins must be locked out of other companies and out of system-wide settings.
• Level 3 – Company Users. Within each company we will need the standard Accountant, Sales User, Purchase User and Read-only roles plus a handful of additional custom roles that we will define together during the job. Every user must inherit the correct company restriction as well as the permissions tied to their role and module.
Scope of work
– Spin up the multi-tenant structure: create the first few sample companies and link them to their own Chart of Accounts.
– Build the role profiles and permission rules for all three levels.
– Enable Accounting, Sales and Purchase for every company; ensure no cross-company data leakage.
– Create easy-to-follow steps (or a short screencast) so I can add more companies and users later without touching the Super Admin account.
– Deliver a brief checklist so I can audit that each company admin and user is seeing only what they should.
