Oncology Hearing Loss Nursing Chapter

Job ID: 39883353

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m compiling a new evidence-based nursing textbook and I need a full chapter dedicated to the clinical management of hearing loss in oncology patients. The piece must read like a peer-reviewed publication—thorough yet accessible to practicing nurses—and fit seamlessly alongside other chapters already in progress.

Scope
The focus is strictly clinical practice. Please explore epidemiology, pathophysiology, screening and assessment tools, nursing interventions during and after chemotherapy or radiotherapy, patient-family education, and interdisciplinary coordination (ENT, audiology, oncology). Current guidelines from bodies such as ASCO should frame the discussion, with recent primary studies woven in to keep the material contemporary.

Tone & Structure
Write in clear academic English, third-person voice, and follow APA 7th for in-text citations and reference list. A logical flow—introduction, evidence synthesis, clinical application, and conclusion—is essential. Illustrative tables or algorithms are welcome where they add value.

Deliverable
• A polished Microsoft Word document (approx. 6,000–8,000 words)
• Reference list of peer-reviewed sources published within the last 10 years
• Figures/tables supplied as editable objects, cited appropriately

Acceptance Criteria
The chapter will be accepted once it passes Turnitin (<10 % similarity), aligns with current oncology and audiology guidelines, and requires only minor copy-edits before layout.

If you have a background in nursing scholarship or have published on oncology-related comorbidities, I’d love to see a short sample or citation list when you respond.
