Water Reuse Feasibility Study (Environmental Specialist/Engineer/Hydrogeologist)
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
About Us
TriPoint Solutions LLC is a dynamic startup dedicated to delivering innovative solutions in environmental and infrastructure projects. We are gearing up for a Water Reuse Feasibility Study, an impactful project aimed at optimizing water reuse systems and advancing sustainability in Oregon.
We are seeking a skilled Environmental Specialist, encompassing roles for both Environmental Engineers and Environmental Scientists, to join us on a short-term contract. This opportunity is ideal for professionals looking for project-based work with a meaningful environmental focus.
Role Overview
The Environmental Specialist will be instrumental in evaluating and optimizing wastewater treatment systems, with a focus on membrane bioreactor (MBR) and conventional activated sludge (CAS) systems. The role also includes assessing water quality, ensuring regulatory compliance, and developing actionable recommendations for sustainable water reuse strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct design and optimization evaluations for MBR and CAS systems.
- Perform water quality assessments and analyze the sustainability of proposed solutions.
- Conduct hydraulic modeling and process simulations using tools such as HEC-RAS and SWMM.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to refine system designs and develop innovative water reuse strategies.
- Evaluate existing data and reports, conduct field monitoring, and analyze water treatment performance using portable flow meters, water quality analyzers, and UV disinfection systems.
- Ensure compliance with **NPDES** and other regulatory standards.
- Prepare technical reports, including feasibility studies and sustainability assessments.
Qualifications
- For Environmental Engineers:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Oregon or eligibility for licensure within 6 months.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in wastewater treatment design and optimization.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling tools (HEC-RAS, SWMM) and GIS platforms (ArcGIS, QGIS).
- **For Environmental Scientists**:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience in water quality analysis, regulatory compliance (e.g., NPDES), and sustainability assessments.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes (MBR and CAS systems preferred).
- For Both Roles:
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Up-to-date 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and deliver results within tight timelines.
Location: Based in Oregon (Hybrid - Remote with occasional site visits)
Duration: February 2025 – June 2025
Why Join Us?
- Be part of an impactful project that shapes sustainable water reuse strategies in Oregon.
- Work with a dynamic startup team that values innovation and collaboration.
- Flexible short-term opportunity with competitive compensation.
