Subsurface Drainage Channel Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a civil engineer who can design a set of subsurface drainage channels to stop recurring flood-issues on my site. I have already decided on a fully subsurface approach, so surface or combined systems aren’t under consideration right now.
Your task is to analyse the existing grades and runoff patterns, size the subsurface channels correctly for my rainfall data, and deliver plans that a local contractor can build without guessing. Please make sure the design addresses storm events large enough to truly prevent flooding rather than just slow it down.
Deliverables
• Drainage layout drawings (DWG/PDF) with precise inverts, slopes and outlet details
• Hydraulic calculations and modelling files (Civil 3D, StormCAD or similar)
• Materials/spec sheet for perforated pipes, geotextiles or any other components required
• Brief installation notes so the contractor knows the sequence and critical checks
Before starting, I’ll supply the survey, soil report and rainfall intensities. If additional data is needed, flag it early so I can arrange it.
I’m interested in someone who has proven experience with subsurface drainage channels, can work quickly in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and is familiar with local drainage codes.
