Residential Water Management Site Plan

Job ID: 39876292

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

I’m preparing a residential development and need a comprehensive site plan that prioritises water management. The property must safely handle roughly 4.3 million gallons of runoff each year, integrating on-site ponds for retention while weaving the system naturally into the overall layout.

Key objectives
• Size and position ponds that can store/attenuate the annual runoff volume.
• Design a rainwater harvesting system that captures roof runoff for reuse.
• Specify a storm-water drainage network (swales, pipes, culverts, or permeable surfaces) that directs excess flow to the ponds and ties into any municipal outlet if required.
• Produce a coordinated site drawing that leaves building architecture flexible but shows driveway alignments, grading, setbacks, and utility corridors so the water infrastructure is fully coordinated.

Deliverables
• Scaled CAD/PDF site plan with grading contours, pond cross-sections, and drainage routing.
• Basic hydrologic calculations backing up pond sizing, pipe diameters, and overflow capacity.
• Schedule of rainwater harvesting components (tanks, pumps, filtration) sized to local rainfall and demand.
• A short summary memo explaining design assumptions and maintenance notes.

I have topographic data and property lines ready to share once we begin. The final package should be detailed enough for preliminary permitting and for my civil engineer to refine in the next phase.

Experience with residential storm-water design, AutoCAD Civil 3D (or equivalent), and local code familiarity will be highly valued. Please outline relevant projects and your estimated timeline when you reply.
