Lot Drainage Design Engineer
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I need a qualified structural engineer who is comfortable working on lot hydraulics to develop a complete drainage design for a single site. The job includes analysing the existing topography, determining runoff volumes, sizing pipes, inlets, detention features, and laying out an efficient stormwater network that keeps the property compliant with local code and avoids downstream impacts.
You will receive the latest survey, rainfall data and any municipal guidelines I already have. I’m looking for:
• A clear hydrologic and hydraulic calculation package (rational method or equivalent, supported by HEC-RAS, SWMM, Civil 3D or similar).
• Plan-set ready drawings (PDF + editable CAD) showing grading, pipe profiles, structures and any detention/retention details.
• A short memo that summarises design assumptions, safety factors and maintenance notes.
Please let me know which software you plan to use, your turnaround time, and a few examples of past drainage projects you’ve completed.
