UK Flood Zone 3a Modelling
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a concise hydraulic-modelling package that will satisfy our local planning officer that the site of an office-to-flat conversion lies in Flood Zone 3a, not 3b. The study area is a single plot in the UK; the end goal is a signed technical note (and supporting model files) that can be dropped straight into the planning submission.
Scope
• Set up and run an industry-recognised 1-D or 2-D model of the adjacent watercourse. I am open to whichever platform you judge most suitable—HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller or another established package—as long as the outputs meet Environment Agency guidance.
• Derive peak water levels and extents for the standard design events, demonstrate that functional floodplain criteria are not met, and clearly map the 3a boundary across the site.
• Compile a brief report explaining methods, assumptions, climate-change allowance and results, with clear figures ready for planners.
Timing
I need the full set of files and the short report as soon as practicable; please tell me the quickest realistic turnaround in your proposal.
