East Africa Solar-BESS Feasibility
Budget: $5,000 – $10,000 USD
I need an experienced renewable-energy engineer who can spend four consecutive days on site in East Africa conducting a preliminary feasibility study for a combined solar array and battery-energy-storage system at a corporate site. While you are here you will walk the proposed site, verify irradiance and environmental data, interview facility staff about load profiles, look at existing electrical systems and roof structure and gather any grid interconnection requirements from the local utility.
The core deliverable is a concise feasibility report—executive summary, technical analysis, and structural reality of any design to work, that will let our board decide whether to proceed to detailed design. I am not prescribing particular software; if you prefer PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, or your own spreadsheets, that’s fine as long as the assumptions and formulas are transparent.
I’ll cover economy-class travel, local transport, and lodging; you bring boots, laptop, and the know-how. A draft report is due before you leave the country so we can review it together; final polished files should follow within three working days of your return. It would take approximately 3 days on the ground at site.
