Culvert Drainage Sizing Calculation, Report & Drawings

Job ID: 40235320

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I own a small parcel in San Jacinto County, Texas where stormwater has carved a gully through the property. Both the U.S. and Texas authorities have confirmed it is not a regulated creek, so long as the solution does not back-up water onto my upstream neighbor. My plan is to install a single culvert and then back-fill; an earlier AI exercise suggested a 30-inch pipe, but I now need a properly documented, defensible design.

What I need from you is a formal package—detailed calculations and/or associated drawings in a single PDF—that I can keep on file and use when I order materials and coordinate with local contractors. The study should account for the contributing watershed, local rainfall data, inlet/outlet control, cover depth, and whatever hydraulic checks are standard practice (Manning’s, headwater, tailwater, etc.). If you prefer Civil 3D, HY-8, HEC-RAS, or similar tools behind the scenes, that’s fine; I only require the final deliverable in PDF.

Deliverables
• Narrative explaining assumptions, methodology, and design criteria
• Step-by-step hydraulic calculations leading to the recommended pipe diameter and material

I will supply photos, and basic topographic shots. Let me know your turnaround time and any other information you’ll need to get started.
