Residential Bat Survey, Reading UK
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
My residential property in Reading must submit a Preliminary Bat Roost Assessment as part of a planning-permission package. The task is straightforward: visit the site, carry out the internal and external inspection in line with current Bat Conservation Trust guidelines, photograph any potential roost features, and compile a clear, planning-ready report with GIS-referenced maps and mitigation recommendations (if required).
Access to the loft and surrounding grounds can be arranged any weekday, and the planning timetable means the completed survey and report need to be in my hands within three weeks of acceptance. A surveyor holding the appropriate Natural England licence and familiar with the local authority’s preferred format will make the process run smoothly.
