Regenerative Settlement Concept Validation
Budget: ₹75,000 – ₹150,000 INR
Project Overview
We are developing an advanced, globally replicable model for arid and semi-arid regions: the Regenerative Eco-Settlement (RES) — a permaculture-inspired eco-farming settlement designed to operate as a self-sustaining agro-ecological system, a micro-community, and a revenue-generating ecological asset.
The RES integrates:
Regenerative Agro-Forestry & Dryland Permaculture
Low-Tech, High-Resilience Water & Soil Systems
A Triple Revenue Model:
– high-value regenerative products
– eco-farming and nature-based tourism
– international licensing of the RES framework
Unlike high-tech eco-cities or traditional eco-villages, RES is deliberately engineered around permaculture principles, ecological simplicity, and biological resilience, avoiding the systemic failures seen in many modern eco-projects.
We are seeking a senior permaculture/regenerative farming strategist to validate and refine the conceptual model into a structured, investor-ready system blueprint.
Project Objectives
Your mission is to provide deep permaculture-driven insight to:
Validate ecological logic for long-term resilience in desert/dryland environments.
Refine the regenerative farming and agro-forestry architecture.
Strengthen the economic logic of diversified eco-farming revenue streams.
Design a governance model that supports functional land stewardship and community economics.
Produce a high-quality conceptual architecture for use in feasibility studies and initial fundraising.
This engagement is strategic rather than operational—focused on conceptual validation, systems coherence, and ecological viability.
Scope of Work
1. Permaculture & Ecological System Validation
Assess the proposed Farm-Reserve concept through a permaculture lens:
zones, sectors, energy flows, design logic.
Evaluate water-cycle resilience:
groundwater, rain capture, fog/condensation harvesting, greywater loops.
Validate soil regeneration pathways: mulch systems, shade structure, microbial activity, tree-guild design.
Assess biodiversity integration: pollinators, small livestock, habitat corridors, food-forest layers.
2. Regenerative Farming Architecture
Analyze proposed agro-forestry species and guilds for arid climates.
Evaluate long-term productivity without high inputs or continuous irrigation.
Refine the cropping/production strategy to maximize resilience and economic value simultaneously.
Recommend adjustments to planting patterns, zoning, or ecological sequencing.
3. Benchmarking & Strategic Positioning
Compare RES to successful regenerative projects (e.g., Greening the Desert, Al Baydha, Auroville farming systems).
Integrate lessons from failures (e.g., over-irrigation, monoculture collapse, governance issues).
Refine the unique positioning of RES as a globally licensable permaculture-based model.
4. Governance & Community Land Stewardship
Define land-use models compatible with regenerative systems (co-op, stewardship circles, rotational roles).
Develop transparent incentive structures for farmers, residents, and eco-tourism operators.
Prevent social-ecological breakdowns seen in kibbutzim, cooperatives, and collectivized farms.
5. Conceptual Architecture & Roadmap
Build a cohesive Conceptual Architecture Document outlining:
– ecological flows
– agro-forestry structure
– permaculture zoning
– water/soil logic
– community operations
– diversified revenue streams
Produce a Roadmap for:
– Feasibility Study
– Site selection for drylands
– Early-stage investor pitch structuring
Deliverables
Conceptual Validation Report (10–20 pages)
Permaculture system logic
Arid-zone resilience analysis
Economic and ecological justification
RES Architecture Framework
Diagrams or structured frameworks for agro-ecology, water cycles, soil systems, governance, and land-use.
Strategic Recommendations
Clear “Go/No-Go” guidance
Priority actions for the feasibility phase and farming system design
Expertise Required
We are targeting senior-level professionals only, with strong competency in:
Core Competencies (must have at least two):
Permaculture Design (PDC-certified preferred)
with experience in dryland systems, regenerative water strategies, or food forests.
Regenerative Agriculture / Agro-Forestry
ideally with desert, Mediterranean, or savanna ecosystems.
Agricultural Economics / Eco-Farming Business Models
especially for value-added agro-products and eco-tourism.
Desired Experience
Successful involvement in regenerative farm projects or eco-settlements
Advisory experience in sustainability, desert greening, or climate-adaptive farming
Strong systems thinking and conceptual modeling skills
Exceptional English writing (Arabic optional)
Project Details:
Provided Materials Full concept dossier, 27-case failure analysis, evaluation index
Project Type Fixed-price consulting
Duration 3–4 weeks
Engagement Level High-level strategy (not operational design yet)
How to Apply
Please include:
A focused summary of your permaculture/regenerative agriculture experience, especially in drylands.
Your proposed methodology for validating and refining the RES ecological model.
A fixed-price quote with timeline.
Two relevant samples or case studies, ideally demonstrating systems-level ecological design.
Only senior practitioners with real-world ecological design or regenerative agriculture experience will be considered.
