LCA for Wastewater Plant
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I need a complete life-cycle assessment that quantifies the carbon footprint of an existing wastewater treatment facility. The study should trace emissions from all major stages—collection, primary and secondary treatment, sludge handling, and final discharge—so I can pinpoint the most carbon-intensive processes and plan targeted improvements.
What I can already supply:
• Hour-by-hour energy-consumption records for every major unit
• Detailed chemical-usage logs (type, dose rates, delivery distances)
• Daily operational logs covering flow, load, and maintenance events
You’ll work with this data set, identify any gaps, and define sensible assumptions where information is missing. I’m open to any established LCA platform—SimaPro, GaBi, openLCA, or even a well-structured spreadsheet model—as long as your methodology follows ISO 14040/44 principles and can be reproduced later by my in-house team.
Please highlight previous experience performing LCAs for utilities, process plants, or similar infrastructure. A concise note on how you will structure the system boundaries, choose emission factors, and validate results will help me decide quickly.
Deliverables
1. A transparent model file (or workbook) with all inputs, calculation steps, and emission factors clearly referenced.
2. A short report (≈10 pages) summarising functional unit, system boundaries, key assumptions, cradle-to-grave carbon results, hotspot analysis, and at least three actionable mitigation options.
3. A 30-minute walkthrough call to transfer knowledge and answer follow-up questions.
The job is straightforward if you already have wastewater or utility LCA experience; I’m aiming for accuracy over volume. Let’s get started once we align on scope and timeline.
