EHS Risk Assessment for Data Server Project

Scope of Work:

We are looking for a qualified consultant to carry out an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) risk assessment for our data server program. The work will involve identifying potential hazards associated with the design, construction, commissioning, and operation phases, and recommending mitigation strategies in line with industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities:

Review existing design and technical documentation for the data server setup.

Identify potential EHS risks across environmental (energy use, emissions, waste), health (operator exposure, ergonomic concerns, indoor environmental quality), and safety (fire, electrical, handling, emergency response) domains.

Assess risks using standard methodologies (e.g., HIRA, HAZOP, risk matrix).

Develop a risk register highlighting severity, likelihood, and risk ranking.

Propose practical and regulatory-compliant control measures to mitigate identified risks.

Deliver a concise EHS risk assessment report that can be integrated into our overall reliability and project execution framework.

Deliverables:

Initial gap analysis of current design from an EHS perspective.

Comprehensive risk register (environmental, health, safety).

Mitigation plan with prioritized recommendations.

Final report and presentation for internal stakeholders.

Desired Expertise:

Proven experience in EHS risk assessments for data centers, IT infrastructure, or industrial facilities.

Strong knowledge of international EHS standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OSHA, NFPA) and local regulatory requirements.

Familiarity with electrical/electronic equipment safety in a data center context is a plus.

Ability to deliver within 6–8 weeks with clear milestones.

Additional Notes:

This project will be executed remotely, with access to required documents/data provided by our team. The consultant may need to participate in virtual review meetings with our engineering and reliability groups.
