Grandfather's Journal: Digital Preservation & Translation

I have a very old, fragile journal that was my grandfather's. He was a Hungarian immigrant who moved to the United States at about age 5. It's all in Hungarian and difficult to read, as the pages are yellowing, but the script is beautiful.

The project involves:
- Digital preservation of the journal to prevent further deterioration.
- Interpretative translation of the journal's content from Hungarian to English, capturing the essence and emotion of the original text rather than a strict, word-for-word translation.
- Presentation of the translated text as a clear and organized digital document (PDF).

Ideal candidates will have experience with both document preservation and translation, particularly with historical or personal documents. A deep understanding of Hungarian and English, alongside excellent interpretative skills, is essential. Experience in creating clear, professional standard PDFs is a plus.
