Translate & Transcribe English-Chinese Docs
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I have a collection of documents that alternate between English and Mandarin Chinese. I’d like the outcome to be one clean, well-formatted English file for each source document. Wherever the text is already in English, simply transcribe it verbatim into an editable format; wherever the text is in Chinese, translate it into clear, idiomatic English that preserves the nuance and any technical terminology.
Most of the files arrive as PDFs or scans, so you may need light OCR before you begin. Please keep headings, bullet points, tables and basic layout intact—no fancy DTP work is needed, just a faithful reproduction in Word or Google Docs.
Deliverables
• One fully English, proof-read document per source file (Word or Google Docs)
• A brief change log noting any illegible sections or terminology queries
I’m looking for accuracy over speed but would like to review the first sample within a couple of days so we can lock in style and terminology before you proceed with the rest. If you’re comfortable working between Mandarin and English and have a sharp eye for detail, I’d love to hear from you.
