I need a skilled literary translator to bring an English-language work of fiction into clear, engaging, and culturally authentic Arabic. The story’s emotional core lies in its characters, so every nuance of their development, voice, and growth must carry over naturally. Tone, pacing, narrative style, and subtle subtext are all critical; I’m looking for a version that feels as if it were originally written for an Arabic-speaking audience, not a literal, mechanical rendering.
What you’ll work with
• Complete, edited English manuscript supplied in Word.
• Background notes on plot arcs and character motivations.
• Any reference glossaries I already maintain.
What I expect in return
• A polished Arabic manuscript ready for publication, with consistent terminology and correct formatting.
• Faithful transference of meaning while adapting idioms and cultural references so they resonate locally.
• Careful attention to grammar, punctuation, and stylistic flow.
• Use of professional CAT tools to preserve consistency and streamline revisions; the final text, however, must read fluidly, not “translated.”
• Timely delivery within the schedule we agree on, plus openness to one iterative review round for fine-tuning.
