Spanish Children’s Stories Translation
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
I have a collection of short children’s stories written in Spanish that I want to use in an educational setting for English-speaking students. I’m looking for a translator who can move beyond a word-for-word approach and re-tell these stories so they feel natural, engaging, and age-appropriate in English.
Because the goal is classroom use, every cultural reference, idiom, or play on words should be smoothly adapted rather than left in its original form. Vocabulary must stay simple enough for young readers while still preserving each story’s charm, humour, and moral lessons.
Deliverables
• A polished English version of each story in an editable file (Word or Google Doc)
• Clear notes on any significant adaptation choices you make so I can explain them to students if needed
Acceptance Criteria
• Tone remains child-friendly and consistent across all stories
• No literal translations that sound awkward in English
• Grammar, spelling, and punctuation are flawless
