We have a set of early-to-mid 20th century archival materials—personal letters, diaries, and typed memoirs—focusing on themes of fatherhood, family life, and domestic roles. These documents are in English and require careful, faithful translation into Russian.

The texts are personal and historical in nature, containing period-specific language, intimate reflections, and cultural context about family and society. The translation must preserve the original tone, respect the historical setting, and sound natural to a contemporary Russian reader.

Maintain historical authenticity while ensuring clarity and readability.

Sensitively adapt culturally specific references and dated expressions.

Deliver well-formatted Russian text suitable for digital archiving or publication.

Required Skills:

Native-level Russian with excellent writing and stylistic sensitivity.

Strong English comprehension, able to grasp nuance in older prose.

Experience or demonstrated interest in translating historical, biographical, or personal documents.

Attention to detail and respect for source material.

Preferred Background:

Previous work with archives, memoirs, letters, or historical projects.

Familiarity with early 20th century social history in English or Russian contexts.
