Mandarin-English Textile Industry Interpreter
Budget: $50 – $0 AUD
will be at Keqiao’s China Textile City Fabric Mall (Dongsheng Road, Shaoxing) on 16 September from 12:00 to 16:00 and 17 September from 10:00 to 13:00, and I require on-site Mandarin–English interpretation support. The discussions will be technical—covering GSM, yarn counts, finishes, and minimum order quantities—so fluency in fabric-industry terminology is essential. Prior experience in sourcing is a plus, though not strictly required for this trip.
In addition to direct interpreting, I expect support in guiding negotiations toward reasonable price points while I shortlist mills and trim suppliers. Compensation is CNY 250 per hour, paid in cash, with same-day reimbursement for travel expenses to and from the market. Since I visit this complex several times a year, strong performance can lead to repeat bookings and, eventually, joint visits to other mills you may recommend.
