I will be in Hong Kong in mid-June to secure ingredients for a pop-up food museum and I need someone at my side who speaks Cantonese and English with ease. Before I land, you will already have phoned and, where useful, visited suppliers so that when we hit the streets the search is focused rather than random. My priority is tracking down both local traditional foods and genuinely rare or otherwise hard-to-find ingredients; the more obscure, the better.

Tai Po Hui Market is the natural starting point, yet I welcome your suggestions if another neighbourhood or wholesaler can deliver what we need faster or at a better price. During the on-site days you will navigate public transport, translate conversations, keep a running log of contacts and prices, and help carry or arrange delivery of purchases. Because the schedule is tight—ASAP prep work followed by three full days together—reliability and strong local knowledge are essential.

• Real-time in-person assistance over the three designated days, including translation and negotiation
