Live-In Nurse for Visiting Athlete
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Assistant Placement — Beirut (4–11 February)
I will be in Beirut from 4–11 February to take part in the Rolling Half Marathon, and I am looking for a female nurse (licensed or close to qualification) to stay with me during this time.
My medical needs are simple and light. There is no surgery care, wound care, or physical therapy. I only need 3 short wellness check-ins each day. I live with a chronic medical condition, but I am an otherwise healthy, high-functioning endurance runner in my age group. My doctors have fully cleared me to travel and to run the race.
Your role is mainly supportive and observant—to help me to stay on schedule, to feel well, and for you to be nearby at all times, in the very unlikely case something unexpected happens.
Each day, I will need help with:
- Making sure my food and nutrition follow my planned training and race diet
- Checking that I have taken my daily medications
- A short wellness check: basic vitals, a few simple questions, a quick visual check, and confirming I feel strong enough to train each day, and eventually to race.
- Monitoring and support on race day (8 February 2026), and a wellness check-in after the race.
I am not from Lebanon and traveling alone, so I need you constantly present and easy to reach. This mainly means being nearby in the residence, staying calm if plans change, contacting the Beirut Marathon Association, and knowing which local hospitals or clinics are best for athletes if medical care is ever needed. Your local Beirut knowledge and clear guidance will be very important.
A successful week would be quiet, smooth, and uneventful—the kind of week where nothing goes wrong, I enjoy the race, and your steady presence gives peace of mind to us both.
Accommodation will be fully provided in the hotel or apartment where I stay. You will have your own private room. You are welcome, but not required, to join me at cafés or restaurants. If you join me, I will cover all meals and drinks. If you prefer not to join, that is completely fine, as long as you stay within 10 minutes and remain reachable (for example, by WhatsApp).
The assignment is for 7 consecutive days, beginning once travel dates are confirmed.
I am hoping to work with a licensed nurse or nurse close to qualification, who is:
- Comfortable speaking English and translating Arabic
- Calm, dependable, and at ease supporting an active person with a chronic medical condition
