Haitian Creole-English Remote Interpreting Opportunity

We are looking for fluent Haitian Creole - English interpreters to join our remote team. This is a flexible, on-demand freelance opportunity where you'll handle Over-the-Phone (OPI) and Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) calls through a secure web-based portal.
You can log in whenever you're available — no fixed schedule or shifts required.
Responsibilities:
Interpret accurately and professionally between English and Haitian Creole
Handle calls in medical, legal, social service, and general contexts
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to interpreter ethics at all times
Requirements:
Fluent in Haitian Creole and English
Reliable laptop or desktop computer with stable internet connection
Quiet environment with a quality headset
Must complete a free online EF SET English test (C1 level or higher)
Available for a brief 15–20 minute interview via Zoom or Google Meet
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as an interpreter (OPI, VRI, or in-person)
Familiarity with healthcare or legal terminology
Knowledge of interpreter standards and confidentiality practices
Payment Terms:
Rate: $0.10 USD per minute of talk time
Equivalent to approximately $6.00/hour based on active call time
