German-English Website Translation

Job ID: 40237842

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I have an informational website written entirely in German that I now want to publish for an English-speaking audience. Your job is to translate every public-facing page into smooth, idiomatic English while keeping the meaning, structure, and original tone intact—no added marketing spin, just the same voice my German text already has. The site targets the general public, so the wording should stay clear and approachable without slipping into slang or stiff formality.

Along the way, please feel free to finesse awkward phrases so the English reads naturally; the goal is to sound as though the content was written in English from the start, not converted word-for-word. Maintain headings, calls to action, and any in-text links exactly where they belong so they drop straight back into my CMS.

Deliverables
• A clean English copy of each page (DOCX or Google Doc, one file per page, mirroring the existing layout)
• A simple change log noting any wording you adjusted for clarity beyond direct translation

Before we wrap up, I’ll review the draft on my side and flag anything that still feels off. Once those tweaks are done, the project is complete. If you have previous experience translating German informational sites, especially where tone matters, I’d love to see a sample.
