English-to-Spanish Article Translation
Budget: $8 – $15 AUD
I have a collection of English-language articles that need to be rendered into clear, natural Spanish while preserving each piece’s original meaning, structure, and intent. The source materials vary in topic and length, but none are overly technical. What matters most is smooth, idiomatic Spanish that reads as though it was written in-house, not translated.
Scope of work
• Translate each article line-for-line, maintaining headings, sub-headings, and any embedded links or callouts.
• Keep the voice consistent with the original—if the copy is conversational, make it conversational in Spanish; if it leans formal, mirror that tone.
• Flag any cultural references, idioms, or measurement units that may need adaptation, and suggest the best equivalent where appropriate.
• Deliver each finished file in the same format I provide (usually Google Docs or Word) so it can drop straight into our CMS without extra formatting.
Acceptance criteria
1. No machine-translation artefacts; the final Spanish should be publication-ready.
2. Key terms and proper nouns remain accurate and consistent across all articles.
3. Proofread copy—free of typos, grammar issues, or misplaced accents.
4. Turnaround time: 48–72 hours per article once assigned.
