Dutch-to-English Official Statement Translation
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I have several Dutch-language statements—mainly bank and other financial statements— that I must present in English as part of a mortgage application package. The receiving lender requires an official, certified translation, so the final files need your stamp or sworn-translator signature in addition to word-for-word accuracy.
What I will supply
– PDF copies of each statement (most are a few pages, none exceed standard A4 length)
– Any reference terminology the bank or broker prefers
What I need back
– English versions laid out to mirror the originals, delivered as searchable PDFs
– Your certification page or stamp included in each file
– A brief confirmation letter on your letterhead stating the documents were translated by you, a qualified professional
Acceptance criteria
1. Terminology and figures must match the source exactly.
2. All totals, dates and account numbers remain untouched.
3. Certified translation is accepted by the lender without revision.
If you routinely work with SDL Trados, MemoQ or similar CAT tools, feel free to mention it—I am mainly concerned with the final certified output and quick turnaround.
