I am looking for someone who can move comfortably between Arabic and English, producing polished general-interest articles as well as precise, publication-ready translations in a consistently formal tone. The workload is ongoing and often time-sensitive, so you must be able to pick up assignments quickly and return clean copy—whether original writing, a translated document, or a carefully proofread edit—without chasing deadlines.
You will handle:
• Arabic⇄English translations of articles and related documents
• Fresh article drafts created from brief outlines or reference sources
• Line-by-line proofreading and light editing to ensure accuracy, flow, and tone consistency
I usually work in Google Docs and Word, so familiarity with those environments is essential; if you are comfortable with CAT tools such as Trados or MemoQ, even better. Accuracy, clear communication, and the ability to adapt feedback swiftly are non-negotiable. Please include a short note on your experience in both languages and attach or link to at least two relevant samples—one original article and one translation—so I can gauge style and precision.
