Hiring an English Tutor For Reading
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
English Tutor Needed for Fifth Grade Elementary School Student - Boy
- Grade Level: 5th Grade
- Main Goal: Improve Reading Comprehension and Enhance Vocabulary
- Frequency: Daily tutoring sessions on most days
Skills and Experience Required:
- please make reading comprehension a little challenging for my son
- let's plan 30 min session every night (two weeks per month) Eastern Time around 7pm. It can be extended to 45min to 1 hour if needed.
- Please ask my son to read the paragraphs aloud and test him with questions to help him understand each paragraph. It is very important to pick challenging paragraphs and then test his understanding.
- The tutor needs to prepare such paragraphs (or short stories in advance). Let's not read a book. But instead, read mini-essays or stories.
- Strong knowledge of English language and grammar
- Experience teaching elementary school students
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lessons
- Patience and ability to work with young learners
- Familiarity with different teaching methods and resources for improving reading comprehension and vocabulary skills
