Conversation Practice with Native English Speakers

My goal is to refine day-to-day conversation skills through live, interactive practice with a native English speaker from Canada or the United States. I feel comfortable at an intermediate level, yet still notice hesitation when small talk shifts to idioms, humour, or spontaneous topics.

Here is how I picture the collaboration:
• 30- to 45-minute video calls once or twice each week, centred on free-flowing discussion.
• Gentle correction in real time—pronunciation tweaks, natural phrasing, and cultural nuances.
• A short written recap after every session highlighting new expressions, common mistakes, and suggested exercises for the next meeting.

Please come prepared with conversation prompts that mimic everyday situations—coffee chats, travel stories, recent news—so the dialogue stays fresh and relevant. Experience teaching adult learners is a plus, but the essential requirement is native fluency and the ability to explain why something “sounds right.”
