I need a Book Summarizer (not necessarily a reviewer)
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Hello,
I am expecting to begin teaching a book summary/review series within the next 2-3 months.
I need someone (on a repetitive basis hopefully) to read a specific book and provide me with a summary of the book.
My expectation is that I need 1 book per week, maybe 1 book every 2 weeks - not sure yet.
I imagine the average book length to be approximately 150-300 pages, with perhaps 20 chapters (wild guess at the moment).
I am expecting to summarize/review about 50 books per year. The topics will all be religious, spiritual and/or self-improvement genres.
In a 'perfect world', I would prefer someone with at least a similar spiritual perspective as myself. This way, I can be more sure that what they are representing/writing is not subconsciously biased against my perspective.
I need to know if this is possible, and how much (per book) this would cost, or how the pricing for this would work.
My initial thinking is that each summary should include:
1 - A brief bio of the author (2-3 paragraphs). This will be an optional step if the author has already been given a bio (to be decided on a book by book basis).
2 - An overview of the book (2-3 paragraphs).
3 - A synopsis of each chapter (2-4 paragraphs?), which should include 1 or 2 quotes from the chapter as supporting evidence.
4 - A brief summary of the book (2-3 paragraphs). I am not sure on this point. I don't know if this would be basically the same as the overview.
Your feedback on what to include would be appreciated; since you may have provided this type of service before.
The books will be in English. The book summary must be in good (not 'great') grammatical form.
It is possible that the summaries be in bullet format, rather than paragraph format (I haven't decided yet).
Thank you,
DonR
