I need an acoustic engineer for residential house
Budget: $50 – $0 AUD
I am building a 2 storey house in Upper Mt Gravatt and have noise transmission issues from above from what will be an engineered timber floor on green tongue particleboard. I want to know the most cost effective way to reduce noise eg soundchek sheeting, insulation bats under floor, underlay under timber floor, other?
Currently R2.5 ceiling batts have been installed in the ground level ceiling. No internal sheeting has yet been installed in the house. Area of floor I need better insulated is 56sqm.
I don't need a report just an informed discussion with a qualified acoustic engineer or equivalent.
