I would like to ask if the file which is missing resides on the EFS mount or it resides on the EBS volume?

Please engage system admin/developer [3] of the website and login to the instance i-057b8d823a0db29b0 and and check if all the required services are running and the files are available. You can also check the application error logs and access logs which can give more clue.
