VMware ESXi & vSphere Setup on Dell PowerEdge R940

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to set up and configure a Dell PowerEdge R940 server from scratch. The project will involve setting up iDRAC, installing VMware ESXi, configuring a vSphere cluster, and establishing user policies and SSO integration. The ideal candidate must be experienced with Dell hardware and VMware products, and be comfortable with data center-level configurations.
Project Scope:
Dell PowerEdge R940 Server Setup:
- Configure iDRAC from scratch for remote management and monitoring.
- Verify system firmware and ensure all hardware components are up to date.
VMware ESXi Installation:
- Install VMware ESXi on the Dell PowerEdge R940.
- Configure ESXi settings, including network, storage, and compute resources.
vSphere Cluster Configuration:
- Set up a vSphere cluster for optimal resource pooling and load balancing.
- Integrate vCenter to manage multiple hosts and virtual machines.
User Policy and SSO Configuration:
- Configure user roles and permissions within vSphere for secure access control.
- Set up SSO (Single Sign-On) for streamlined authentication across VMware components.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with Dell PowerEdge servers, especially R940.
- Strong expertise in VMware ESXi, vCenter, and vSphere environments.
- Knowledge of iDRAC management, storage configuration, and networking.
