R&D Tax Credit Consultant Needed

Project Title: HMRC R&D Tax Credit Consultant | UK RDEC Claim Support for Engineering Company
Project Description:
We are a UK-based engineering and manufacturing company with over 14 years of continuous operation, specializing in process equipment, separation technologies, and advanced product development. Our business is heavily involved in Research & Development (R&D) activities, including design optimization, CFD modelling, prototype fabrication, and performance testing.
We are seeking an experienced R&D Tax Relief Consultant to lead and support the preparation and submission of our R&D Tax Credit Claim with HMRC (UK Government).
Scope of Work:
The successful freelancer will be responsible for:
Conducting a review of our company’s ongoing and historical R&D activities.
Identifying eligible projects and qualifying R&D expenditures under HMRC guidelines.
Preparing comprehensive technical justifications and financial schedules for submission.
Working with our internal team to collect supporting evidence and records.
Leading the preparation and submission of the R&D tax relief (SME or RDEC) claim.
Advising on best practices for maintaining R&D documentation and structuring future claims.
Requirements:
Proven experience in preparing and submitting successful UK R&D Tax Relief or RDEC (Research and Development Expenditure Credit) claims.
Strong understanding of HMRC’s R&D tax credit criteria, including the definition of eligible activities and qualifying costs.
Demonstrable experience working with engineering, manufacturing, or technology-based companies.
Ability to clearly articulate complex technical projects into HMRC-compliant documentation.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
