Statistical Evaluation of an experimental design

Job ID: 37306036

Budget: £250 – £750 GBP

Objective is to decide whether a project is feasible: Compare new method to a reference method; Determine the variance of the method as a percentage of the total variance; Assess whether a new measurement method could determine the change in a variable over time; the output from this feasibility study will decide on whether the development of the new method can be taken forward to the next phase of prototype development.
The sampling has already been done for the feasibility study so the design has been set. So the exercise is to determine what can or cannot be determined from the data collected, and whether the aforementioned objectives can be met.
Challenges in obtaining ex vivo tissue to study, led to two rounds of sampling and a deficiency in the ratio of skin colour. The attached Excel sheet lays out the two rounds of sampling; number and characteristics of tissue donors; number of samples and samples per donor; number of biomarkers measured per sample per body site.
