Requirements Engineering and Validation for Microservices using Distributed Trace Data

Job ID: 36157817

Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR

Need help in completing thesis paper for the below requirements:
What is the state of the literature of Requirements Engineering (RE) and Requirements Validation for Microservices?
Motivation: The purpose is to collect and synthesize the literature for the background of RE for Microservices i.e., some of the concepts, frameworks and methods designed so far and identify the challenges faced while developing MSA systems. Moreover, we intend to explore existing techniques and frameworks for Microservices Validation.

RQ2: What challenges exist in using requirements to decompose a system into microservices and validate the realization of these requirements in system implementation?
Motivation: The purpose is to find out challenges faced by the Practitioners, especially when decomposing a system into Microservices and validating the implemented system using the realized requirements. Well-known challenges in the RE domain exist, but there is little knowledge of RE for Microservices.

RQ3: How can distributed trace data be utilized to support and validate requirements-driven microservices decomposition?
Motivation: The purpose is to collect quantitative data (distributed trace logs) that can be further sampled, and analyzed so, it could be used as a source of requirements for decomposing a system into microservices and validate already realized requirements for improving quality aspects of a system.
