Part-time Freelancer Assistant Engineer (Remote )- Long term (up to 15 hrs per week)

About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Freelance Assistant Engineer to support our engineering and project teams. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
* Obtain vendor quotations, compare offers, and manage supplier documentation.
* Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, quality, and project management teams.
* Prepare, maintain, and organize engineering documents, reports, and project records.
* Assist engineers with project design, calculations, and technical development.
* Conduct technical research and gather engineering data for ongoing projects.
* Coordinate communication between engineering teams and other departments.
* Provide technical support during project execution and implementation.
* Assist with equipment inspections, factory acceptance testing (FAT), commissioning, and troubleshooting activities when required.
* Monitor project budgets and assist with basic cost analysis.
* Order and manage engineering supplies, materials, and equipment.
* Track project progress and help ensure schedules and documentation remain up to date.
* Stay informed about industry standards, engineering practices, and technological developments.

Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documents.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with engineering documentation or procurement activities is an advantage.
* Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.) is beneficial but not essential.
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality documentation is desirable.
