Native Spanish Engineering Translator

Job ID: 39844055

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I need several engineering-focused technical documents translated from English into crystal-clear, publication-ready Spanish. The material will be submitted as part of a research paper, so absolute accuracy, consistent terminology and an academic tone matter just as much as flawless grammar.

You’ll be working with editable Word and PDF files that include formulas, figure captions and references. I’ll expect the Spanish versions returned in the same layout, ready for journal submission, along with a short glossary of any specialised terms you standardise during the process.

Ideal profile
• Native Spanish speaker with demonstrated experience translating engineering or other hard-science documents
• Comfortable handling citations, SI units and technical diagrams
• Able to meet agreed deadlines—submission dates are fixed

Deliverables
1. First draft translation for review
2. Final proofread copy incorporating my feedback
3. Bilingual terminology list

Familiarity with CAT tools such as Trados or MemoQ is a plus, though quality and consistency are the top priority. If this sounds like a good fit, please share a brief note on similar engineering projects you’ve handled and your typical turnaround time. I’ll send over a short sample page so we can confirm terminology before going ahead with the full batch.
