Large Traditional Patio Makeover

Job ID: 37890158

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I am looking for a firm to look over my plans to build a roof and wall for quite a large patio 40'x12'. This will be installed and built by a local contractor. In order for me to get a building permit, I need an engineer to approve that my plans are structurally sufficient for my snow load in my area.

There will be one framed wall on the left side, made out of a 2x6 wood framing. This design will include 10 total posts supporting the structure, all the corner posts will have bracing as in the diagrams for latteral loads. It will be connected to the manufactured home only for roof flashing purposes. There will be no load on the house structure.

The main structure will be oit of 2x8 framing on 16 inch centers. There will be a beam made out of 2 2x8 lumbers nailed together. All the posts will be out of 6x6 lumber. One beam will be the capping to the roof frame, and against the house structure. It will have 5 6x6 beams across the 40 foot span. There will be another 2- 2x8 nailed together beam at 10 feet out secured under the structure (24" from the end of the structure). Also 5- 6x6 posts under that beam. The 2 center posts will have sideways lateral supports as shown.

The roofing will be out of 7/16 osb board, roofed with a steel roof. There will be a concrete slab poured 15'x40', with 8 inch deep concrete under each of the 10 supporting posts.

Please send me a bid amount on total charges to look this over and help me make any changes to satisfy the structure. I live in tabiona utah and our dniw liad is rated at a 66 psf.
