The aim of this lab experiment is to provide a better understanding of how to use a manometer, and
apply Bernoulli’s equation in real flows, and of the physical meaning of the terms static pressure,
stagnation pressure, and dynamic pressure. It will also allow us to compare the ideal, frictionless
predictions of Bernoulli’s equation to the actual flow through a Venturi. The Venturi meter is a flowmeasurement device consisting of a convergent-divergent length of pipe.
