Gaseous System Control Engineer Needed -- 2

Job ID: 40426971

Budget: $15 – $25 CAD

We are seeking an experienced industrial controls engineer or automation contractor to support the control system design for modular hydrogen production and fueling systems. The scope includes developing the control architecture for systems incorporating electrolyzers, purification (PSA), compression, storage, and dispensing equipment. The contractor will be responsible for preparing control philosophies, functional design specifications, I/O lists, cause-and-effect matrices, and PLC/HMI logic required to safely and efficiently operate hydrogen systems in industrial environments. Experience with process controls, gas handling systems, and hazardous-area instrumentation is strongly preferred.

The role will involve working alongside our engineering team to translate process and mechanical designs into a complete automation and control framework. Incl. our R&D programs. The contractor should be capable of designing PLC-based systems (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, or similar), developing SCADA/HMI interfaces, and defining interlocks, alarms, and safety shutdown logic appropriate for hydrogen systems. Deliverables will include control system documentation, PLC program structure, network architecture, and support during commissioning and testing phases. Experience with industrial gas, energy infrastructure, or hydrogen projects is considered a strong advantage.
