Project Description
We are seeking a qualified licensed engineer with experience in residential roofing systems, storm damage assessments, and forensic inspections to evaluate asphalt shingle roofing for hail damage and prepare a professional engineering report.
Scope of Work:
Review inspection photos, measurements, and supporting documentation.
Determine whether observed roof conditions are consistent with hail-related damage.
Identify and distinguish hail impacts from wear, tear, manufacturing defects, installation issues, or other non-storm-related conditions.
Prepare a detailed written engineering report with photographs, findings, conclusions, and supporting analysis.
Report should be suitable for submission to insurance carriers, attorneys, public adjusters, and, if necessary, court proceedings.
Qualifications:
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
Experience with roofing systems, storm damage investigations, and insurance-related claims.
Prior experience preparing expert reports and providing testimony is highly desirable.
Strong technical writing skills and ability to defend findings with objective evidence.
Deliverables:
Signed engineering report in PDF format.
Supporting photo annotations and damage analysis.
Availability to discuss findings and answer technical questions if needed.
