Creating a topology optimization code with FEniCS: dynamic problems

Job ID: 34265206

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I need the creation of a structural topology optimization code using the FEniCS package, with the obligation to perform the sensitivity calculation using Dolfin Adjoint (http://www.dolfin-adjoint.org/en/latest/). This code should run two dynamic problems: Free Vibrations or eigenvalue problems; and Forced Vibrations. The SIMP approach should be considered. In principle, there is no need to consider system damping.

The code must generate in addition to the final design seen in Paraview, it must show all iterations, the Compliance X Iteration X Volume Reduction graph, the Natural Frequency X Iteration graph and finally the FRF (frequency response function) graphs. All for at least the first three modes in modal analysis and in forced vibration considering established frequency ranges.
