1 Meteorology/Climatology
1.1 Change in the local micro-climate
e.g. local temperature
Monthly average rainfall and
temperature of the area; Climatological
normal/extremes; Wind rose
diagrams; Frequency of Tropical
cyclones
Identify and assess project impact in
terms of change in the local microclimate change. Also discuss effects
of climate change using PAGASA
medium to long term projections
2. Contribution in terms of greenhouse
gas emissions (or GHG mitigation
potential)
Note: applicable only for projects with significant GHG emissions
Data on Greenhouse gasses (i.e.
carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide);
Estimate projected greenhouse gases
(GHG) (i.e. carbon dioxide, nitrous
oxide) using IPCC guidelines; include
mitigation and/or sequestration for
both construction and operation
phases.
Conduct GHG estimates (Area,
Point, Line, Volume, sources, etc.)
for all combustion process (vehicle
motors, genset, etc.) and other flue
gas emission activities
- GHG emission inventory (Tier 1/ Scope 1)
3. Degradation of air quality
characterization of ambient air quality:
PM10
SO2
NO2
(for sampling methods refer to Clean Air Act)
sampling site map
Based on reliable secondary data for baseline parameters, identify and assess impact of the project especially during construction stage.
Primary data shall be secured using DENR standard methods and procedures if no secondary data is available within 5km radius of project site
Primary data
- four (4) ambient air quality sampling and noise sampling ((2) project area and (2) the surroundings)
-Include SMR data for emission
4. Increase in ambient noise level
Characterization of ambient noise level
sampling site map
Identify and assess impact of the building project on noise levels especially during construction by comparing it with relevant standards. Source of info is provided.
