Car recognition with IP Camera

Using a standard IP camera, pointed to a road, the system should be able to recognize 20 different types of vehicles with or without trailer.
The vehicles categories are defined by characteristics such as dimensions, number of wheeles and intersection to a trailer:
- two wheeled vehicle
- small car (<5m)
- regular car (5-7m), SUW
- big cars, transportation og goods or passengers
- small trucks
- small trucks with trailer
- medium size trucks
- medium size trucks with trailer
- heavy trucks
- heavy trucks with trailer
The system should categorize the captured vehicle with a certain confidence level and at the same time
measure the total lenght of the vehicle with detecting the trailer as a part of the total lenght and with a accuracy of at least 90%.
The system should be capable to work with a vehicle speed of 0..20 km/h.
As an option the system should be capable to combine the output with data from a plate recognition system.
The software should output the recognized vehicles and classification as xml data and with a link to a captured snapshot of that vehicle.
