Camper Hatch Failure Visual Assessment
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
My teardrop camper is tucked away in a nearby storage facility and the rear galley hatch door is showing clear signs of trouble—noticeable warping along the edges and a pair of hinges that have started to loosen. I’d like a qualified engineer to visit the site for a thorough, on-site visual inspection (no stress simulations or lab testing at this stage).
Here’s what I need from the engagement:
• Travel to the storage facility, visually examine the hatch structure, framing, and hinge assemblies.
• Capture detailed photographs and notes that document the warping, hinge condition, and any other red flags you spot.
• Provide a concise written report outlining the likely cause of the failure, the extent of structural compromise, and pragmatic repair recommendations (materials, fasteners, reinforcement methods, or hinge replacements).
• Flag any issues that might warrant deeper analysis in a follow-up phase.
Experience with RVs, trailers, or lightweight composite structures will be a strong plus. Please let me know your earliest availability to perform the on-site inspection and share a sample of a past inspection report if possible.
