Automation for Data Scraping and File Downloads
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm a freelancing Music Producer who is in need of some program to help automate my daily tasks on a Mac. I have dabbled with automation software before but it has became a hassle to build something correctly. I am in need of a coder who can easily setup an automation flow that can collect data and files from my online work account and save it to my hard drive.
Essentially, the most time consuming part of my job is downloading files to be used in my mixes. I had previously set up an automation that would download each song available within my Powermusiclicensing.com account every night before work the next day. That way when I go to mix i already have an up to date folder of all the available assets i need on my computer.
This automation would also update a running excel sheet of all the file names and other simple data that is available on the webpage. (See both attachments. "Title, Version, Artist, BPM, etc.")
I have since switched from PC to Mac and the automation service i used doesn't work. I am unsure if the solution is a full blown desktop program, or just a coded flow within a 3rd party automation app. I used to use Winautomation on PC. and I currently have looked into using UI.Vision for Mac automation.
I am unsure of the language of coding required i think i depends on the 3rd party service. Most allow Javascript which is how i was able to set up my previous flow on PC.
Please let me know if you have any further questions. I hope this is something that can be done to make my life a whole lot easier.
