Crane Capacity Assessment Needed

I’m looking for a structural engineer who can analyse an existing industrial building so I can pin down the maximum safe capacity of the bridge crane that runs through it. The critical elements are the crane rail itself and the vertical supports beneath it—several of those supports are riveted box columns, so rivet-connection behaviour must be factored into the check.

Right now, the only information I can supply is a set of field notes and photographs taken on site; there are no original drawings or certified load tables available. You will therefore need to create a model (hand-calcs, FEA, or a hybrid approach—your call) based on dimensions gathered from the photos and any additional measurements you request from me. Please reference the relevant steel design code in your calculations.

Deliverables
• A concise calculation report showing assumptions, load paths, connection checks and lateral stability verification
• The recommended maximum crane capacity (tons) with safety factors stated
• A short list of reinforcement or retrofit measures if the existing structure falls short of modern code requirements
• A one-page executive summary that a plant manager can read without wading through formulas
