Role Summary
We are looking for a Temporary Works Design Engineer who can work remotely and support engineering design for projects in Jordan and Iraq. The engineer will provide design calculations, drawings, and technical support for construction temporary works.
Required Design Experience
The engineer must have proven experience designing:
Pile working platforms for piling rigs and heavy equipment
Cofferdam systems (sheet piles, bracing, excavation support)
Concrete formwork systems
Thrust blocks for pipelines
Responsibilities
Prepare engineering calculations and design reports
Produce AutoCAD drawings and technical sketches
Review method statements related to temporary works
Provide fast technical support to site teams
Ensure compliance with BS, Eurocode, or ACI standards
Required Skills
Civil / Structural Engineering degree
5+ years experience in temporary works design
Strong knowledge of:
Piling platform design
Excavation support
Formwork design
Pipeline thrust block calculations
Software:
AutoCAD
Excel / engineering calculations
Structural software (STAAD / SAP2000 / similar)
Work Arrangement
Fully remote
Coordination via Teams / Zoom / Email
Ability to deliver quick design turnaround for site requirements
