12 Gauge O/U Skeet Shotgun Design
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
I’m commissioning a complete design for a 12-gauge shotgun purpose-built for competitive skeet shooting. The goal is to move from a clean sheet concept to a fully detailed, manufacture-ready package in no more than four weeks.
You’ll take the performance requirements of fast target acquisition, minimal felt recoil, and consistent point-of-impact, and translate them into a mechanically sound action, barrel set, stock geometry, and sighting solution. Whether you prefer SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar CAD software is up to you—what matters is that the native files and neutral STEP formats are delivered alongside clearly labeled 2D drawings.
To keep things transparent, here’s exactly what I need handed over at the end:
• 3D CAD model of the complete firearm (native + STEP)
• Dimensioned 2D drawings with tolerances suitable for CNC and wood/composite stock work
• Exploded assembly view and bill of materials with material specs and grades
• Brief design report explaining operating mechanism, balance decisions, and recoil-mitigation approach
All IP transfers to me upon payment. Please confirm experience with firearm design standards and any prior skeet-focused platforms you’ve worked on when you respond. I’m ready to review concepts immediately and will stay available for rapid feedback so we meet the one-month timeline.
